"Very nice and friendly resort" Very friendly and accommodating staff. We were in Room 326, a junior suite, it was clean, zquite and well equipped for morning coffee, prepare a lunch for the beach and to cook a light dinner. Room 326 is only a few steps to the pool, one of the 4 BBQ grills and the roof deck to take in the great sunsets.
My biggest compliment was the flexibility to change dates, I needed to change my reservation a couple of times due to my treatment schedule, Joe could not have been more helpful even though I cancelled less than a week before I was scheduled to arrive at the SunSeeker. Mike the GM made a point to say hi everyday he even gave a us a tour of the new building that will house the new office, cafe and a fantastic suite with a killer view.
See you next year, thanks

"The Most Welcoming Place I've Ever Stayed!" As the name of this hotel states, this is a LGBT resort, so before arriving, I wondered if I would feel awkward since I'm a straight girl. You know, "One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong...." (Sesame Street song!). Immediately upon arriving, I was made to feel not only welcomed, but also a treasured guest. Throughout my week stay I got to know most of the staff by first names and never went a day without someone making sure that my time there was enjoyable. Personal attention and fine detail separate this hotel from any other I've stayed. No cookie-cutter rooms here, as each room has it's own unique and tasteful interior decor. A well stocked kitchen and a very comfortable bed (I'm like the Princess and the Pea so bed comfort is a must!) further added to my positive experience. The roof top is super inviting with a beautiful view of the ocean sunset and the pool and hot tub are just the right size for an intimate gathering of friends. If all this wasn't enough, my room was literally steps away from what I called, "My own private beach." I know, I know, I was quite spoiled!

"Everyone at The Maui Sunseeker - each and everyone of you. Thank you so much for a great 9+ days of sheer bliss. What this place provides for it's ardent customers is not easy to describe in words. For the simple and down to earth people who manage and keep Sunseeker such a joyful place to be at, and the fact that it is being so very well taken care of and that it's expanding with such grace - thank you to each and everyone of you lovely people! This my 2nd straight year here and I sincerely cannot wait to be here, back next year. Thank you once again. Lots of Love, Vic xx"

"Hello Chuck, Michael, Bob, Joe & Housekeeping staff, You folks did an awesome job! I felt relaxed the whole time I was there and enjoyed using Maui Sunseeker as a base for my adventures. I was not at all freaked out by the water pipe break and glad for the sake of water conservation that I am the only gay man in a hundred mile radius who actually likes being an early riser. Thank you for the invitation to social events! As I just started dating someone here in California, I wanted to save "that" adventure for time here in SoCal. Blessings. I will be recommending you to my GLBT friends traveling to Maui. Best Regards, Mark (Mahalo Mark...So glad you were an early rise that morning to alert us to the 5am water line break)."

"We stayed in suite 613 for a week in February 2013 and met some truly great people we hope to see more of in the future. In addition, your team of Sunseeker employees were charning, professional and helpful. Sunseeker is the perfect home base to explore the many sites Maui has to offer. Thank you, Robert"

"I'm neither L, G, B or T, but this was my favorite stay of my time in Maui. You simply cant beat this value - the room, location, grounds, and amenities for this price? Insane. I wish I booked my whole trip here."

"Spent four lovely nights in the Penthouse suite at this friendly and well appointed hotel. The suite overlooks the beach and has its own Jacuzzi right on the lanai so you can soak and watch the stars. Includes a comfortable king sized futon type bed, jetted tub and large shower amply stocked with towels, dressing room, full kitchen and dining area, living room with DVD and cable. Audio was disc only - we wished for an ipod input but that was the only flaw (will bring a mini cable next time)! Around the back there's an area full of beach chairs, snorkels, masks and boogie boards for loan plus a laundry facility. The beach is across the street which meant cars going by, but it really quieted down at night. Staff provided maps to other beaches and happy to help book extra tours etc. I liked that it was reasonably close to shops and restaurants - but not too close! Also there are a few farm stands nearby to stock up on papayas and fresh veggies. Although it is an LBGT resort, everyone is welcome."

"We arrived in Maui a day early and needed to find a last minute place to stay that wasn't outrageously priced. This place had a room and we booked it right away. While we are not part of the LGBT community we are "awesome adults" (an ad read that way. lol) and were welcomed to very friendly, hospitable hosts! The location is just across the street from the ocean so you've gotta love that! The room was small but comfy, clean and decorated quite nicely. Don't feel you need to be part of the LGBT community to stay here, so long as you're an awesome, cool adult you will love it!! I would stay here again, really great hosts, a nice clean room and a good location! Thanks Maui Sunseeker!"

"If you had a chance to see the "Hotel Impossible" episode earlier this year when Anthony Melchiorri and his crew visited the Sunseeker, made suggestions and helped with the remodel of a suite, you know what the owners had to go through. And apparently they not only made it through the tapings, but they also took the suggestions to heart and carried out the improvements throughout the hotel.
I stayed in a one-bedroom suite right off the pool. The suite was spotless, the furnishings looked new, the bathroom was full of fluffy towels and the bedroom sported one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in.
Melchiorri can be a gruff guy, but if you watch the show and see property owners take heed of his advice you'll realize that he's very smart at what he does. If you'd like a more inside look at how the reality show covered the Sunseeker, they have a great FAQ page on their website
I get over to Maui at least twice a year (I live in Honolulu) and I'll definitely plan on staying at the Sunseeker in the future."

"This is my second stay at Sunseeker and my first time traveling alone. Ownership has changed and with it a lot of renovation and expansion. The site now spans what was 3 separate properties. The unit I was in had modest renovations with the most changes seen in the original building. These aren't luxury accommodations, but simple and tasteful and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the small size makes it a great way to meet your neighbors. The new jacuzzi area means it's open all night and it's amazing to sit there at night and look up at the stars in a tropical setting."
