Maui Sunseeker Blog
Nothing spells hospitality like the people that make your visit a memorable experience. Your stay at the Maui Sunseeker LGBT Resort is a vacation with ohana (family). Our staff endeavors continuously to be sure that your stay with us will not only be relaxing and rejuvenating but memorable.
The Maui Sunseeker LGBT Resort is known for its convenient location, quality of service and being Hawaii’s largest gay owned and operated resort. Today, we’d like to introduce you to another member of our Housekeeping team. Without her assistance, your room wouldn’t be as sparkly. Please meet. . . . .
Toni Mahealani Santiago – Housekeeping
Toni is the Maui Sunseeker’s only true local Hawaiian having lived in Maui her entire life. Born in the “808″ she has truly had an amazing life living here. Toni says “I’m blessed to be who I am. Being born and raised in paradise (Maui). I’m also blessed to have a family who is not judgmental in life. I live my life for the love of Jesus Christ and having a second chance in life.”
Toni’s hidden talent is being able to do the traditional hula while on a paddle board. You’ll have to ask her for a demonstration.
Her favorite spot in Maui is Maluhia and Kahakuloae. Toni said that if you want a great breakfast, go to Tasty Crust in Wailuku. Great food, but remember that they only take cash! She suggests that if your a volleyball player like her, to check out some of the beach courts in Kihei. After spending a day at the beach, head to a local bar and ask for a Okolehao.
Toni’s favorite recipe is for Fried Ice Cream and she hopes you enjoy it as much as she does!
The next time you stay at the Maui Sunseeker, be sure to say “Aloha” to Toni. Her smile will light up your day! This entry was posted in Blog and tagged about Maui Sunseeker, Gay Maui, LGBT Resort, Maui Sunseeker, Meet the staff. Bookmark the permalink.
